At GBS, our online learning environment is carefully structured to minimize behavioural issues, disruptions, and distractions. To ensure a focused learning experience, teachers have the ability to manage student communication by restricting chat or microphone access if necessary, until the end of the lesson. Additionally, teachers can allocate students to breakout rooms to address any behavioural concerns and find solutions after the class concludes.
Clear guidelines and controls are communicated to all students, fostering a positive and supportive learning atmosphere. This approach provides reassurance to learners who may have previously experienced bullying, creating a safe environment for all.
You can access homework assignments and tests on the school app or the student portal under your respective class. The materials will be available for you to download or complete online. Make sure to regularly check the app for updates and deadlines to stay on top of your assignments.
By default, your child will be assigned to the year group corresponding to their age unless you specify otherwise.
